Teacher (Full-Time)

 

Mountain CAP of WV, Inc., a CDC is seeking a Teacher for our Creative Beginnings Child Care Center in Tennerton.  Responsible for the supervision, care and education of children and will be regularly assigned to a group of children.   Must practice the core competencies of early childhood educators, and plan and implement daily program activities; coordinate the activities of assistant teachers and teaching assistants, and may assist the director, assistant director or lead teacher with designated activities.  Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age and have a minimum of one (1) year of relevant work experience and have one of the following additional qualifications:  a West Virginia Training Certificate in Early Care and Education (WVTCECE) or its equivalent; a CDA credential and three hundred (300) hours of relevant work experience working with young children or twelve (12) college credits in an early care and education field and three hundred (300) hours of relevant work experience working with young children; or a total of two (2) years of relevant work experience. Must have or be able to obtain CPR certification and first aid training within 6 months.  Must have food handler’s card, reliable transportation and be willing to work a flexible schedule. Must pass CIB and APS/CPS background screening. Lead Teacher (Full-Time)

Mountain CAP of WV, Inc., a CDC is seeking a Lead Teacher for our Creative Beginnings Child Care Center in Tennerton.  Responsible for the supervision, care and education of children and will be regularly assigned to a group of children.   Must practice the core competencies of early childhood educators, and plan and implement daily program activities; coordinate the activities of assistant teachers and teaching assistants, and may assist the director, assistant director or lead teacher with designated activities.  Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age and have a minimum of one (1) year of relevant work experience and have one of the following additional qualifications:  a West Virginia Training Certificate in Early Care and Education (WVTCECE) or its equivalent; a CDA credential and three hundred (300) hours of relevant work experience working with young children or twelve (12) college credits in an early care and education field and three hundred (300) hours of relevant work experience working with young children; or a total of two (2) years of relevant work experience. Applicant will also be considered qualified if he/she has a registered Apprenticeship Certificate for Child Development Specialist, or twenty-eight (28) college credits, with at least nine (9) credit hours in early childhood development. Assistant Teacher (Full-Time)
